Hello, and welcome!

I’ve created this site to chronicle my journey, in the hope that someone who is going through a similar situation as myself can find answers to the “real-life” questions. Scientific & clinical information is easy enough to look up, but finding out how this type of diagnosis (and this type of cancer) will affect daily life—less so. There’s not a lot out there about Metaplastic breast cancer from personal perspectives, so I remember feeling a bit lost and overwhelmed right after the diagnosis.

Outside of all this: I’m 33, married to my high school sweetheart, and a new mommy to my beautiful daughter Harper. I’m a Registered Nurse and my husband, Matt, is a Mechanical Engineer. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, so our house is often bustling with playtime antics! I’m working on restoring a 1966 Mustang, although it’s unfortunately been on the back-burner since 2017 when I started nursing school, and probably will remain there until I get treatment fully behind me. I also enjoy photography (the lightning on my home page is a photo I took!), target practice, and yoga.
